USA: Colorado and Dallas to contest 2010 MLS Cup Final
The 2010 Major League Soccer final will be contested between Western Conference champions FC Dallas and Eastern Conference champions Colorado Rapids. Both teams won their respective conference finals at the weekend and both will looking to put American soccer’s biggest prize into the trophy cabinet when the final is played on Sunday, November 21st.
Colorado Rapids defeated San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night with Kosuke Kimura’s cross-cum-shot in the 42nd minute making its way into the back of the net and proved the difference to take Colorado all the way to the final. Last night Los Angeles Galaxy, the regular season’s best team, were expected to make easy work of FC Dallas and make it to their second consecutive MLS Cup final but the visitors had other ideas. Goals from David Ferreira, George John and Marvin Chavez completed an amazing victory for Dallas who showed big names Landon Donovan and David Beckham how to win under pressure.
The MLS Cup final takes place in Toronto on Sunday, November 21st.
